DO/MSBE* The LECOM Master of Science in Biomedical Ethics program (36 credit hours) will benefit prospective physicians seeking to master biomedical and pharmacological ethics, healthcare compliance, patient care management, risk management and medical research, palliative care and end-of-life care, and providing essential support to patients and their families. Simultaneously offers online distance learning in the third and fourth year of the medical student. DO/MS MCT LECOM Master of Science in Medical Cannabinoid Therapeutics (MS MCT): The MS-MCT program is offered online and is designed to prepare healthcare professionals to contribute innovative and culturally appropriate approaches to the growing medical cannabinoid therapeutic industry. The program is grounded in fundamental osteopathic principles and skills that focus on all care of the body, mind, body and spirit. The program focuses on medical cannabis policy evolution, organizational management, environmental and occupational health, social and behavioral impacts, pharmacokinetics, vertically integrated business systems, macroeconomics, applicable laws and regulations, and ethical implications. Students will also gain an understanding of the basic chemistry and effectiveness of the current pharmacological industry for medicinal cannabinoids. The MS MCT program consists of 45 credits.

There are 11 core courses, a 16-week experiential discovery course supplemented by interviews and executive analysis (6 credits) and a 16-week Master`s or Capstone Project Course (6 credits). LECOM`s Academic Index Score (AIS) is an alternative to MCAT instead of MCAT, applicants can use AIS, a calculation based on the applicant`s overall average, undergraduate and graduate schools, and high school SAT/ACT scores. Upon receipt of all required documents, the application will be reviewed by the members of the admissions committee in order to evaluate the candidates for those who adequately match the ISLO in terms of professionalism, osteopathic philosophy and disciplinary knowledge.

Candidates who meet these criteria are invited to a virtual interview. Following the interview, the admissions committee conducts a second review of the information submitted and assessments of the interviews. Candidates who have demonstrated to the Committee that they are qualified for admission will receive an offer of acceptance to the College of Medicine. After the session, applicants use the instructions sent by email to submit a recorded video interview that is reviewed by the admissions committee.
